The Phillies May Get A Vintage Boost In June

The Philadelphia Phillies have not had the season that they had hoped for.

After making the World Series last year the Phillies find themselves in fourth place in the NL East.

One of the many reasons for their struggles has been their star players’ lack of offensive production.

Newly signed Trea Turner has yet to get going, while JT Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber have struggled.

But, Schwarber is the one who looks ready to turn his season around.

Over his career, Schwarber has been dominant in June.

His start to this June has been no different after his two home runs on Sunday.

In his career, Schwarber does have some impressive splits in June.

He has played 136 June games, hitting .258 with 49 home runs and 110 RBI.

That is his highest average and most home runs in any month of his career.

His season has been a disaster in the batting average category.

While he has never hit for a high average, he is only batting .172 this year.

That is unplayable if not for his home run power.

Luckily for the Phillies, it looks like Schwarber is ready to turn his season around this month.

But, the Phillies need more than just Schwarber to produce to turn their season around.

They need more consistent pitching, starting with Aaron Nola and Zack Wheeler.

Neither pitcher has performed up to their capabilities and that has led to the team struggling.

The Phillies hope the start of June will bring good things to come for their entire team.
