The Philadelphia Phillies are beginning to turn their season around after a slow start.

They have a 42-37 record and are trying to stay in the NL East race.

With three months of baseball remaining, the Phillies have to make up 10.5 games over the Atlanta Braves.

They got into a hole early in the division and now they’re trying to get out.

One place the Phillies have been great is on the road.

According to John Clark, the Phillies have won eight straight road games.

Plus, they’ve won 17 of their last 22, which is their best regular-season streak in 12 years.

After winning the National League last season, the Phillies entered this year with high expectations.

However, they failed to reach them early on.

But, the resurgence of their pitching staff has been a big reason for their recent success.

Ranger Suárez and Taijuan Walker have been very good lately and that has given the Phillies a much-needed boost.

Plus, their offense is still waiting for Bryce Harper and Trea Turner to break out.

But, Nick Castellanos has picked up the slack and is having an All-Star caliber season.

It won’t be easy for the Phillies to navigate their way back to the playoffs.

The National League is loaded this year with some surprise teams having very good seasons.

With the way the Phillies’ roster is built, anything short of another playoff berth is going to be a huge disappointment.
