The Pelicans already considered the departure of Zion

The New Orleans Pelicans explored the trade of Zion Williamson before reaching a five-year deal with the player and the nearly $195 million partially guaranteed he agreed to, Marc Stein’s sources confirmed.

According to the latest information coming from New Orleans, the relationship between Zion and his team is practically nil, and they would be negotiating his departure again due to his lack of commitment and/or his physical problems.

It should be remembered that Zion has barely played 25 official matches this season. And in none of his previous ones has he even reached 65.

With the Hornets they would have held negotiations for their 2nd pick in the 2023 Draft with the aim of selecting point guard Scoot Henderson. However, those of north carolina they’d rather get a player like Brandon Ingram in the trade.

The one who was number 1 in the 2019 Draft and trained at Duke obtained figures of 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 33 minutes per game.
