The Mariners Have Fun With Some Bad Handwriting

This is one of the best times of the year for MLB-related content on social media.

Teams have been in camp for a couple of weeks now, content ideas are flowing, and players are usually open to trying and doing things they probably wouldn’t do in the regular season.

The Seattle Mariners’ communications team, specifically their social media and Twitter department, prepared a really funny section.

Players were shown a signature from one of their teammates on the M’s, and they had to guess the handwriting.

The results were nothing short of hilarious.

Some of them had the correct answer, but most failed to spot the handwriting and the signature.

All kinds of things were said, too: “it looks like an eight-year old,” “lame,” “like a heartbeat monitor,” and “it looks like an abstract painting.”

Human creativity doesn’t really have a limit.

In the exercise, we also learned that reliever Penn Murfee’s first name is really William.

We are really looking forward to more editions of “guess the autograph”, Mariners edition, soon.

For now, we will spend a few minutes laughing with part one.

It’s a nice way for the Mariners to increase team chemistry with a little silly competition.

The M’s are locked and loaded for a true postseason run in 2023, after failing in the American League Division Series at the hands of the Houston Astros last year.

They won 90 games in the regular season and, after adding Teoscar Hernandez. Kolten Wong, and AJ Pollock to their lineup, we can firmly say they have a shot at beating the Houston Astros for the AL West top spot.
