The Jacksonville Jaguars look poised to have another successful season in 2023.
Not only did they just get Calvin Ridley reinstated, but they franchised tagged one of their key pass catchers.
That was tight end, Evan Engram, who will now come back to Jacksonville for at least next season.
According to Adam Schefter, the Jaguars officially franchise-tagged Engram today.

This was a move that everyone should have seen coming.
After the season Engram had, the Jaguars could not have let him go.
He is coming off his best season as a pro, where he caught 73 passes for 766 yards and four touchdowns.
The franchise tag for Engram will pay him $11.3 million next season.
He became one of the favorite targets for quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
The Jaguars plan to run it back on offense next season, except for the addition of Ridley.
Lawrence should take another step forward in his second year under Doug Pederson.
It will be interesting to see if the Jags can solidify themselves as true contenders next year.
This past season they seemed like a good story.
But, in 2023 they should be looking to contend for the AFC title.
The one problem for them is that the AFC is loaded with good teams.
The Chiefs, Bengals, or Bills are good enough to win the Super Bowl.
So it could come down to which team is playing the best at the end of the season.
The Jaguars’ front office has made some very good decisions over the past few seasons.
Expect to see them remain aggressive this offseason.
