The Dallas Cowboys may have not had success on the field Sunday.
But, their nickname of “America’s Team” was once again proven true.
Sunday’s Divisional playoff matchup with the San Francisco 49ers was the second most-watched Divisional game of all time.
45.7 million viewers watched Sunday’s Cowboys at 49ers divisional round playoff game. It’s FOX’s second-most watched divisional round game on record.
No. 1 was 48.5 million viewers for Packers at Cowboys in 2017.

Of course, the most-watched Divisional round game was also featuring the Cowboys back in 2017.
It should not be a surprise that the most popular franchises in the NFL had all the eyes on them.
The 49ers and Cowboys have done battle in the playoffs plenty of times, with a rich history of games back in the 1990s.
Also, for all the fans who attended this game, the tickets did not come cheap.
According to StubHubthe cheapest ticket for this game was $405, while the most expensive was $18,000.
Whenever these two teams meet in the playoffs, the NFL benefits greatly.
For the Cowboys, the Divisional round has caused them nothing but heartbreak.
They are 0-7 in Divisional round games and have not made the NFC Championship in the last 27 seasons.
Over these past two seasons, the Cowboys had two 12-win teams.
Yet, they were knocked out by the 49ers in the playoffs in both of those years.
Jerry Jones must be ecstatic with the numbers his team is putting up on TV, but it is time for them to start winning these big games.
Jones and company will have a long offseason ahead as they try and help their team get over the hump.
One thing remains constant with the Cowboys each year.
That is no matter if fans love them or hate them, they cannot stop watching them.
