The Dallas Cowboys continue to add new players to their roster this offseason.
Many Cowboys fans are thrilled with how aggressive their team has been this offseason.
They are vastly improved from last year and have filled many needs on their roster.
But one spot where they could use some more depth is at running back.
After releasing Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys needed an experienced backup behind Tony Pollard.
It appears that they found the running back they were looking for.
According to Todd Archer, the Cowboys have agreed to a deal with running back Ronald Jones.
The Cowboys have agreed to a deal with RB Ronald Jones, who visited The Star Monday, per source. Jones spent last year with KC after a four-year run with Tampa Bay. His best year was in 2020: 192 carries, 978 yards, 7 TDs. He played in only six games last year with Chiefs.

This is simply a depth move for Dallas, as Jones will not play a massive role on the team.
But, he is only 25 years old and can be a solid backup to Pollard.
This move should not stop the Cowboys from possibly drafting a running back in the upcoming draft.
It is always nice to have some youth at the running back position.
Dallas should look to add another running back on day three of the draft.
We have seen many good NFL running backs drafted on day three or go undrafted.
So the Cowboys should not be afraid to add another player to this group and see if he can turn into something.
Dallas still has plenty of cap space, and they can make more moves where they see fit.
But after the first week of free agency, it is hard not to be impressed by what the Cowboys have done.
