The fourth of five head coaching vacancies has now been filled.
The Indianapolis Colts, after conducting an extensive search, have made their selection to lead their team moving forward.

Shane Steichen comes to the Colts from the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was their offensive coordinator.
The Eagles were the second-highest-scoring team in the league during the regular season, and Steichen was a big part of that.
Jalen Hurts was an MVP candidate this year, and Steichen has also been credited as a massive proponent for his success.
While Steichen hasn’t been a head coach before, his nearly ten years of NFL experience should bode well for the Colts, a team that is in desperate need of some new leadership.
Before his time with the Eagles, Steichen was the OC for the Los Angeles Chargers, where he worked his way up the ranks in nearly ten years with the team.
He also spent time as an offensive quality control coach for the Cleveland Browns.
Steichen has been a part of many different coaching staffs, and as a result, has plenty of information at his disposal.
He’s worked with Phillip Rivers and Hurts and will look to help develop the Colts offense this season.
If the Colts draft a quarterback in the first round, they will likely look to Steichen to help mold and develop him, given his track record with Hurts and Rivers.
The Colts are coming off of a 4-12-1 season.
