They are 53-27 and have opened a 6.5 game lead over the Miami Marlins in the NL East.
When looking at your roster, the first player to mention is Ronald Acuña Jr.
He is the favorite for the National League MVP and has had record pace this year.
Acuña is hitting .331 on the season with 19 home runs, 51 RBI and 36 stolen bases.
He leads the National League in steals, slugging percentage, OPS, and total bases, while also leading the MLB in runs scored with 71.
Acuña has been doing everything for the Braves and they wouldn’t be as good without him.
Other players having great seasons in Atlanta include Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies and Spencer Strider.
Olson leads the National League in home runs (26) and RBIs (62), while Albies is second in RBIs with 56.
Strider is a contender for the National League Cy Young Award and is the best strikeout pitcher in the game.
