The Oakland Athletics have fallen on hard times after having traded away stars such as Matt Olson, Chris Bassitt, Matt Chapman, and Sean Manaea.
After four consecutive winning seasons, the A’s decided to tear it down and rebuild from scratch.
Over the past several years, the A’s have been a topic of discussion, as many have speculated that soon, the team could be on its way out of Oakland and headed to Las Vegas.
As each day passes, it looks more likely that the A’s will ultimately leave Oakland and move to Vegas.
In 2023, they’ll get a little taste of Las Vegas when they play a brief two-game spring training series against the Cincinnati Reds at Las Vegas Ballpark, which opened in 2019.

A’s To Get A Taste Of Vegas In 2023
It appears that MLB is at the very least laying the groundwork for the Athletics to bolt from Oakland and head for Vegas.
It’s looking more likely each day that a move from Oakland is inevitable.
The A’s have not been able to draw many fans to their ballpark, even while in contention.
The A’s have widely been considered a “small-market” team based on how they run their organization.
Rarely have major signings or trades been made to improve the ballclub.
In fact, it was quite the opposite back in March, as almost all of the A’s star players were traded away, with the exception of Sean Murphy, who is likely to be traded this offseason.
Ultimately, it appears that there isn’t much that can be done to keep the A’s in Oakland for much longer.
