The Houston Rockets are preparing for an imminent head coach change. According to the journalist yahoo sportsJake Fischer, it is expected that the Texas franchise will lose the services of Stephen Silas after the end of the regular season.
This same week, the journalist from The Athletic, Kelly Iko, shared that Rockets management had not yet made a decision about whether to continue to count on his services during the 2023-24 season. Now, it seems that this points to the dismissal of the technician.
Silas was signed by the Rockets in 2020, when the Rockets still had James Harden and Russell Westbrook in their ranks. Soon after, Westbrook was traded to the Washington Wizards and Harden was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. Since then, the Rockets have been fully immersed in a rebuilding process that continues to this day.
According to various reports, Ime Udoka, Frank Vogel, Nick Nurse, Scott Brooks and Rex Kalamian are emerging as possible candidates to replace Silas.
