The term “GOAT” is used quite often when talking about star players in professional sports.

But that term is one that could really be used for Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani.

He’s a once-in-a-lifetime player who can dominate both on the mound and at the plate.

We’ve never seen anyone like him and we’ll probably never see anyone else do the things he can do.

As a hitter, Ohtani leads the MLB in home runs and RBIs.

He has 26 home runs to go along with 62 RBIs.

On the mound, he has a 3.13 ERA and has struck out 117 batters in 89.0 innings.

Also, he doesn’t allow opposing hitters to take hits from him very often.

According to Codify, Ohtani has the lowest batting average allowed in baseball at .199.

Players should not be allowed to be as good at both hitting and pitching.

That’s what makes Ohtani one of the best we’ve seen.

Once again, Ohtani has already been chosen for the All-Star Game as the starting designated hitter.

He’s been great for baseball as everyone wants to see him play.

In addition, he continues to demonstrate how baseball is a global game thanks to his fans in Japan.

Not to mention, he capped off an impressive World Baseball Classic performance by striking out Mike Trout to win the event.

Ohtani is everything baseball needs.

Now everyone expects to see him play when it matters most in the postseason.
