Sno*Drift Day One Recap: Regional – USA Informing

The first day of the Sno*Drift Rally has passed. Jon Kramer leads the regional drivers after the day.

SS1, Sage-Vondette 1

Stage one would see Jon Kramer take the stage win, beating Dylan Gondyke by 17 seconds. Tim Michel would place third on the stage, 0.1 seconds behind Gondyke. Jimmy Pelizzari would place third on the stage, 2.9 seconds behind Michel. David Matheson would round out the top five, finishing the stage 8.9 seconds behind Pelizzari.

SS2, Blue Lake-Soden 1

Stage two would see Jon Kramer win the stage once again, beating Jimmy Pelizzari by 22.2 seconds. Tim Michel would place third on the stage, 4.3 seconds behind Pelizzari. Dylan Gondyke would place fourth on the stage, 3.3 seconds behind Michel. Dan Shirley would round out the top five, finishing the stage 8.2 seconds behind Gondyke.

SS3, Orchard-Shoreline 1

Stage three would see Jon Kramer take his third straight stage win, beating Jimmy Pelizzari by four seconds. Tim Michel would place third on the stage, 8.7 seconds behind Pelizzari. Dylan Gondyke would place fourth on the stage, 5.8 seconds behind Michel. Robert Dupree would round out the top five, finishing the stage 5.9 seconds behind Gondyke.

SS4, Sage-Vondette 2

Stage four would see Jon Kramer win his fourth straight stage, beating Patrick Glodz by 1.4 seconds. Jimmy Pelizzari would place third on the stage, 0.8 seconds behind Glodz. Dan Shirley would place fourth on the stage, nine seconds behind Pelizzari. Robert Dupree would round out the top five, finishing the stage 4.6 seconds behind Shirley.

SS5, Blue Lake Soden 2

Stage five would see Jimmy Pelizzari take his first stage win, beating Jon Kramer by 14.8 seconds. Tim Michel would place third on the stage, 19.9 seconds behind Kramer. Robert Dupree would place fourth on the stage, 1.4 seconds behind Michel. Patrick Glodz would round out the top five, finishing the stage 11.6 seconds behind Cordero.

SS6, Orchard-Shoreline 2

Stage six would see Patrick Glodz win his first stage, beating Jimmy Pelizzari by 5.6 seconds. Jon Kramer would place third on the stage, 1.4 seconds behind Pelizzari. Robert Dupree would finish fourth on the stage, 7.5 seconds behind Kramer. Tim Michel would round out the top five, finishing the stage 6.9 seconds behind Dupree.

Jacobsohn Out

Gabe Jacobsohn would retire from the rally on SS3. This would come as a result of health concerns for his co-driver Kyle Roberts.
