Piatkowski Out

2022 Sno*Drift winner Mark Piatkowski would become the first driver to retire from a rally in the 2023 ARA season. Piatkowski would retire temporarily from the rally on the transit between the end of SS1 and the start of SS2. This would come as a result of Piatkowski’s transmission jamming in fifth gear.

Semenuk Sweeps

Brandon Semenuk picked up where he left off last season. As the reigning American Rally Champion he won all six stages on day one of Sno*Drift. Meaning he also won the first six stages of the 2023 American Rally Association season. Semenuk did this all well also sweeping the road, which isn’t an easy feat at any rally, and is significantly harder on snow without tire studs. Semenuk will head into day two with a 1-minute 0.9-second lead over Tom Williams.
