Shohei Ohtani Showed Off Another Amazing Skill On Opening Day

We are running out of adjectives to describe Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani.

He has become the face of baseball in the last couple of years.

His performance in the last two years, and winning the 2021 AL MVP award, opened the world’s eyes regarding this unique, once-in-a-lifetime talent.

Besides hitting like a top slugger and pitching like an ace, Ohtani also has an excellent memory.

“Shohei Ohtani was using the PitchCom to call what pitches to throw but he had it under his sleeve so he couldn’t see the numbers at all. He had each button’s exact location memorized,” SportsCenter tweeted.

Some people are good with their memory, others are atrocious.

It’s part of life.

The thing with Ohtani is that we still haven’t found the first thing he isn’t good at.

It’s amazing.

It really does seem like he has superpowers.

Well, the man tasked with being baseball’s biggest ambassador should be special.

And he is, in every sense of the word.

Hopefully, the Angels can set up a competitive team around him to get him to the playoffs.

It’s something he needs to experience.

Playoff Ohtani could be a thing to behold: we already saw what he does under pressure in the World Baseball Classic, playing for his country.

For now, the Angels are 0-1 and the bullpen threw away Ohtani’s gem on Thursday, when he pitched six scoreless frames with 10 strikeouts.

Hopefully, it doesn’t become a theme and the organization can right the ship soon.

Fans would love (and pay) to see him mashing home runs and pitching zeroes in October.
