Before Monday’s game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Seattle Mariners, NPB and MLB legend Ichiro Suzuki was in attendance and in full uniform.
Ichiro was the most iconic player on the Mariners since the turn of the millennium, and one of the best of all time.
Right now, Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani is following in on his footsteps.
He is currently baseball’s biggest star.
Both of them are absolute legends, and were together for a quick chat on the field.

The level of respect Ohtani has towards Ichiro is heartwarming.
We are talking about the leader in hits between NPB and MLB with 4,367.
We are talking about an MVP, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, Rookie of the Year, and member of the 3,000 hit club in MLB.
Ohtani knows this, and every time he sees Ichiro, he shows his admiration towards one of the best contact hitters the game has ever seen.
Ohtani is doing very good himself in his quest to make history.
He won the AL MVP in 2021 with 46 home runs and a 3.18 ERA.
He was runner-up the following season with 34 blasts and a 2.33 ERA, while also striking out 219 hitters.
Then, this year, he won the World Baseball Classic and was named the MVP.
He earned the save in the final game by striking out Mike Trout.
We would love to know what Ohtani and Ichiro were talking about pregame, but we have to think about the WBC and their performance came up.
In any case, it’s cool to see two legends chatting and respecting each other.
