On Tuesday night it was all about Shohei Ohtani as he led the Los Angeles Angels to a 4-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox, dominating on the mound and at the plate.
He went 3 for 3 with two home runs as a hitter and gave the Angels 6.1 innings of a run on the mound, striking out 10 White Sox batters.
However, Ohtani also achieved a huge personal milestone with his epic night.
Tuesday’s game against the White Sox marked the first time Ohtani hit multiple home runs in a game he started as a pitcher.
On Twitter, Bleacher Report took note of this impressive achievement.

Ohtani won AL MVP in 2021 and finished second in voting last season behind New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.
This year, he seems to be on his way to picking up another MVP trophy.
A night like this will certainly strengthen your case.
Ohtani has done a lot of things throughout his career, but Tuesday night marked the first time he’d recorded a multi-homer game while also serving as his team’s starting pitcher.
The Angels notched their 44th win of the season as a result, but the two-way star made game history thanks to his many impressive feats.
10 strikeouts on the mound and simultaneously hitting two home runs is almost unheard of.
But Ohtani is no run-of-the-mill baseball star, and he showed why Tuesday with another epic performance as he led the Angels to victory.
