Following years of back and forth, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe will finally leave Skip Bayless.
According to a report by The New York Post, the Pro Football Hall of Famer has reached a buyout agreement with FS1 to leave the network, with his final appearance on “Undisputed” coming when the NBA Finals conclude in June.

The Post also states that Sharpe’s highly popular “Club Shay Shay” podcast will also leave the network as a part of the buyout agreement.
While there haven’t been many details about the reasons behind this decision, it’s hard to say it was a surprise.
Sharpe refused to go to the set earlier this year following Bayless’ insensitive tweet about Damar Hamlin wondering why the NFL even thought about postponing the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills, regardless of the fact that Hamlin nearly died on the field.
Bayless faced plenty of backlash and criticism over that tweet, but even though he apologized, Sharpe had already set a precedent.
Sharpe even urged Bayless to take the tweet down while trying to explain why he didn’t attend the show, yet Bayless kept interrupting him, which obviously led to more tension between the two.
And while that happened months ago, and there hadn’t been any updates about the situation, it might have been a breaking point after months of heated debates and confrontations.
It’s still unclear what FS1 will do to replace Sharpe, who’s become a prominent figure in the sports broadcast industry, but they are highly committed to Bayless, so the show will most likely go on.
