After their Divisional round playoff loss in 2022, there were many fingers pointed at members of the Dallas Cowboys organization.
Although the Cowboys had a relatively successful season last year, some believed that they hadn’t done enough in free agency in adding needed pieces.
Now, the Cowboys have responded, adding Brandin Cooks to their roster, and bulking up their receiving corps.
After this move was made, Shannon Sharpe commented on the situation and what it means for the team moving forward.
“The Cowboys needed a guy alongside CeeDee Lamb, this is one of the better things they’ve done this offseason,” Sharpe said.

Cooks is a nine-year NFL veteran and is the latest addition to the Cowboys.
Last year, Cooks had 699 yards, 57 catches, and three touchdowns, appearing in 13 total games.
Although this was a down year for Cooks, he has proven that he still has some gas left in the tank.
Should Dak Prescott and Cooks develop early rapport, this could be a lethal combination for the Cowboys offense.
The NFC East has continued to get stronger, as the Philadelphia Eagles participated in the Super Bowl, and the New York Giants made the playoffs as well.
Ultimately, it takes more than one player to get better.
However, the fact that the Cowboys added a receiver indicates that they are willing to make necessary moves to improve their standing in the NFL.
Lamb has made significant strides as a receiver and should benefit by having a player of Cooks’ caliber and experience on the roster.
