It’s no secret by now that the Tampa Bay Rays are on quite a historic roll.
The team has won their first 12 games and are now just one win away from tying the 1987 Milwaukee Brewers and 1982 Atlanta Braves for the longest win streak to start a season.
Tampa Bay is firing on all cylinders and the players are enjoying being a part of it.
The team’s ace, left-hander Shane McClanahan, is certainly enjoying it so far.
The Rays have command over the rest of the American League East and are threatening to run away with it.
McClanahan stopped by MLB Network to discuss the team’s recent hot streak.

The left-hander was first asked about when the last time he experienced such a run was, to which he replied that it likely was during his Little League days.
But he also said that it’s a testament to the players on the roster and how they’re playing for each other, praising his teammates and discussing how fun it is to get to the ballpark every day and experience the good vibes.
McClanahan then went on to say that the Rays have been asked a lot about whether or not they’re overly consumed by their hot streak, but that ultimately, nobody is getting too wrapped up in it and are just focused on trying to win ballgames.
And the Rays have certainly done a lot of that.
McClanahan says that the team is playing together as one cohesive unit and that even with a similar roster to last year, they feel that there is something different about the club in 2023.
