The Seattle Seahawks have continued their roster cuts ahead of the March 15th salary cap deadline.

They have already released one member of their defensive line, and have recently released Quinton Jefferson as well.

Despite Jefferson’s success in 2022, the team is moving on from him.

After he was released, Josina Anderson of CBS had a conversation with Jefferson, who shared his sentiments on the situation.

“I still want to play this year,” and “Everything will work itself out” were two quotes by Jefferson during this conversation.

Jefferson will be 30 years old when the 2023 season begins.

He is a seven-year NFL veteran and has spent time with four different organizations.

2022 marked a career-high in sacks for Jefferson, totaling 5.5.

He also added 29 total tackles, which wasn’t necessarily a career-high, but it was still important to the Seahawks’ defense.

The defensive tackle position is one of the most valuable in the NFL.

By having a veteran in this position, they can affect an organization, both on and off the field.

While his time with the Seahawks is now over, Jefferson will likely find himself on a new roster in 2023.

Although Jefferson is near the end of his playing career, he proved last season that he still has some gas left in the tank.

Jefferson could be signed to a contender during the offseason, contributing to the efforts of a playoff team.

There are plenty of teams out there that could use a veteran who can get their team five or more sacks, and add in other tackles as well.

Where will Jefferson end up in 2023?
