Almost a month has passed since Scott Rolen became the newest member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
The 47-year-old was elected to Cooperstown after six years on the ballot.
However, there was still one question yet to be answered, that being which team he would ultimately represent on his plaque.
Ultimately, he chose the St. Louis Cardinals.
Rolen was traded over to St. Louis from the Philadelphia Phillies in 2002 and was with the team until 2007.
There, he helped form the dynamic “MV3” with Jim Edmonds and Albert Pujols and played a key role in the team’s World Series title run in 2006.
On Twitter, the Cardinals celebrated Rolen’s decision to wear the team’s cap into Cooperstown, posting a photo of him celebrating after the final out of the 2006 World Series.

Rolen helped guide the Cardinals to four division titles and two World Series appearances.
After a disastrous 2004 series against the Boston Red Sox, the eight-time Gold Glover went 8-for-19 in the ’06 series, hitting a home run in Game 1.
The seven-time All-Star played with stars such as Pujols, Edmonds, Larry Walker, Rick Ankiel, Yadier Molina, Chris Carpenter, David Eckstein, Edgar Renteria, Jason Isringhausen, Jeff Suppan, and Adam Wainwright during his time in St. Louis .
For his career, the Hall-of-Famer hit for a .281 average, hit a total of 316 home runs, picked up 2,077 hits, and had a WAR of 70.1.
Along with former teammates Edmonds, Carpenter, and Isringhausen, Rolen is a member of the Cardinals Hall of Fame.
Now, he’ll forever be remembered as a Cardinal as he enters Cooperstown.
