The San Francisco Giants had a very odd offseason.
After finishing at .500, they lost left-hander Carlos Rodon and failed to secure the services of Carlos Correa and Aaron Judge.
However, they did manage to keep Joc Pederson around and added some key pieces such as Mitch Haniger, Michael Conforto, Ross Stripling, and Sean Manaea.
As the 2023 season approaches, preseason predictions aren’t exactly kind to the Giants.
Not many are expecting them to do too much in 2023.
However, one fan is keeping his optimism despite a very strange offseason and made a bold claim on Twitter, saying that he believes the Giants will be a postseason team this year.

The odds are certainly not stacked in the Giants’ favor, especially after losing out on Judge and Correa, and not being able to retain Rodon.
But the team was still very productive this winter, making some key bargain moves which could work out in their favor if all goes according to plan.
The Giants will have to deal with the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers this year, as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, who appear to be a team on the rise.
But San Francisco doesn’t have a bad ballclub by any stretch of the imagination and could be a team that surprises some people.
This will be the second year of the expanded postseason, meaning that their path to October could be easier with the third Wild Card spot.
Clearly, this fan believes that the Giants have a solid club and could ultimately make it to October.
