Zack Greinke is back with the Kansas City Royals for another season.
The veteran right-hander began his storied career with the team in 2004 and was there until 2011.
In between his two stints in Kansas City, Greinke spent time with the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Houston Astros.
He returned to Kansas City last year and went 4-9 with a 3.68 ERA in 26 starts and 137 innings of work.
This year will be his 20th season in Major League Baseball.
On Twitter, the Royals posted a slow-motion video of Greinke in his windup at the team’s spring training facility, celebrating 20 years in the game.

Greinke has certainly accomplished a lot over the course of his 19 seasons.
He has earned two ERA titles, a Cy Young Award, two Silver Slugger Awards, six Gold Gloves, and six All-Star nods.
The right-hander has a total of 223 wins, a 76.5 career WAR, 2,882 strikeouts, a 1,167 WHIP, and a 3.42 ERA.
Needless to say, Greinke has a great chance of being enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown when his legendary career comes to an end.
He’s been a part of several winning teams.
He helped guide the Brewers to the NLCS in 2011 and was a key piece for the Dodgers from 2013-15.
He was also a stalwart in the rotation of the Diamondbacks and helped lead the Astros to the World Series in 2019 and 2021.
One thing he is missing is a World Series ring.
Still, his career has been nothing short of legendary and he’ll have an opportunity to add to his resume in Year 20.
