Reggie Jackson, from thinking about retirement to being very close to the ring

Reggie Jackson, currently with the Denver Nuggets, considered retiring from basketball when he was a member of the Detroit Pistons. A series of consecutive injuries to his ankle nearly cost him his sports career; However, he regained his love for basketball when Paul George’s Clippers claimed his services.

And after confirming his transfer on February 14 from the Angelenos to the Nuggets, the point guard is only one win away from achieving the NBA champion ring, something that not many players can boast of.

“I can’t believe I’m in this position right now,” Jackson admitted to the outlet. Yahoo! Sports. “Especially after my final stint in Detroit. I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep playing, and then they brought me back to life in Los Angeles (Clippers). And after being traded, the circle could be closed,” he stressed.

Jackson, 33 years old, is having a very residual role in the playoffs, with just 3 minutes played. However, the illusion of being part of the first champion Nuggets in their history is not taken away by anyone.

Between OKC, Detroit, the Clippers and the aforementioned Nuggets, he has career averages of 12.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.2 rebounds in 771 official games (506 starts).
