The Boston Red Sox are coming off of a disappointing season in 2022.
Last season, they regressed significantly from 2021, when they made a surprise run to the ALCS, winning just 78 games and falling into the last place in the AL East.
To add insult to injury, they lost a few key pieces this offseason.
JD Martinez and Xander Bogaerts left in free agency.
Still, they added a few viable pieces in Adam Duvall, Justin Turner, Masataka Yoshida, Corey Kluber and Kenley Jansen.
They also have yet to lose a game this spring entering play Wednesday.
On Twitter, a Red Sox writer took note of this and suggested that the team may be trending in the right direction for 2023.
The Red Sox have played 12 games this spring and lost 0 of them. It’s getting pretty hilarious at this point.
It doesn’t mean much, but I also don’t think it means nothing.

Of course, it is only spring training.
However, if anything, this proves that the Red Sox have some sendable talent within their farm system.
But thus far, it appears as if the Red Sox are coming together just fine.
Fans understand that spring training games really don’t mean much, but also understand that the team is playing well and that it could be a good sign for 2023.
Not much went right for the Sox in 2022, but they are looking to right the ship this year and bounce back into contention in an ever-stacked American League East division.
For now, Red Sox fans can enjoy their spring training surge and hope that it leads to some good things happening during the regular season.
Opening Day is right around the corner, which will be the Red Sox’s first test of the year.
