On Thursday, there was some good defense on display at Camden Yards in Baltimore.
With the game between the Baltimore Orioles and Oakland Athletics tied at seven runs apiece in the bottom of the eighth inning, star outfielder Cedric Mullins hit a pop fly to right field.
The ball was caught by Ramon Laureano.
However, Terrin Vavra, who was on third base, decided to test Laureano.
As it turns out, that decision proved to be costly.
Laureano fired a strike to the plate to nab Vavra and sent the game into the ninth inning tied at seven.
MLB posted a video of the highlight on Twitter.

The Orioles would go on to win the game in the bottom of the ninth inning on Adley Rutschman’s walk-off home run.
However, things could have been a lot worse for the A’s had Laureano not made such an impressive throw to nab Vavra.
The play wasn’t even close either.
Vavra was out by a mile.
That helped keep the game tied.
Still, it was not enough for the A’s to bounce back and pull off a win, as they fell to 3-10 on the young season and remained at the bottom of the American League West division, 4.5 games back of the Texas Rangers and Los Angels Angels.
Laureano’s play was a game-saver though, at least for the time being.
The A’s head home on Friday and will open up a three-game weekend series against the New York Mets as Oakland Coliseum.
James Kaprielian will get the start.
