The Las Vegas Raiders have made a few changes to their roster this season.
One of the major ones was their addition of former Patriots and 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
He was signed to a three-year deal and is expected to solidify that position in Las Vegas.
Also, the Raiders added another former Patriot in wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.
Most of the Patriot connections on the Raiders have to do with head coach Josh McDaniels.
He spent many years as the offensive coordinator in New England and is looking to add some of the players he worked with to his team.
Another spot where McDaniels added a former Patriot is to his coaching staff.
According to Albert Breer, former Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has joined the Raiders’ coaching staff.
Ex-Patriots WR Danny Amendola has accepted a role on the Raiders coaching staff, per source. Amendola will coach Vegas’ returners and also assist Edgar Bennett with the team’s receivers.
Good add to Josh McDaniels and Co.

Amendola was a very good wide receiver in the NFL and an effective return man.
He should be a good addition to the Raiders, especially because he recently retired.
Amendola should be able to connect with many of their players and help them reach their potential.
McDaniels is under plenty of pressure with the Raiders in 2023.
He needs to have a successful season or he could be looking for a new job.
The Raiders play in the toughest division in football, but that is no excuse.
McDaniels is an offensive coach, and he must have the Raiders offense ready to roll next season.
