Now that he’s back to full strength after suffering a hamstring injury, Mississippi star running back Zach Evans is ready to take his talents to the National Football League.
Evans looks to wow all in attendance at Ole Miss’ Pro Day, and he’s set to meet with the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft, according to NFL insider Aaron Wilson.
Mississippi running back Zach Evans, who averaged 6.5 yards per carry last season, has multiple upcoming visits, including #Cowboys on April 3 and #panthers April 14 @KPRC2 https://t.co/042B2JMBGK https://t.co/LOBvy3Ksr4

He’s one of the top-notch RB prospects in this class, boasting a rare combination of speed, elusiveness, and raw power.
And even though his draft stock took a minor hit because he wasn’t able to perform at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, some scouts still think of him as an elite talent and one of the most athletic backs in this class.
Evans logged 936 rushing yards to go along with nine rushing scores last season.
He ranked 10th in all of college football with a whopping 6.5 yards per carry average.
However, there will be some red flags and injury concerns about him, as he suffered a hip injury and a concussion before going down with that hamstring aid.
Evans was a five-star recruit out of North Shore High School, leading them to back-to-back state championships and rushing for nearly 5,000 yards and 75 touchdowns.
He spent a couple of years at TCU before transferring to Mississippi, helping them achieve a 6-4 record and a Texas Bowl berth last season.
Now, he’s eager to prove that he belongs with the pros, and don’t be shocked if he’s one of the first backs taken in the upcoming draft.
