The Philadelphia Phillies had a successful offseason, adding pitchers Gregory Soto, Craig Kimbrel, and Taijuan Walker to the mix as well as signing shortstop Trea Turner.
The team has reloaded and is ready to defend their National League pennant.
The Phils lost the World Series in six games to the Houston Astros.
But the competition in the NL East is going to be fierce, as the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves are also stacked ballclubs with something to prove in 2023.
This morning, Phillies GM Sam Fuld spoke with MLB analysts Joel Sherman and John Heyman, discussing their expectations for 2023 and the stiff competition the team will face in the NL East.

Fuld first talked about the Mets and how he believes they will be around for quite some time given the moves that were made by owner Steve Cohen.
Fold believes the Mets are going to be a formidable opponent.
However, the former MLB outfielder is up to the challenge.
He also discussed the Braves and what they have on their roster and noted that the Phillies will certainly have their hands full with them as well the Mets.
Still, the Phillies have put together a strong team for 2023 and should be an exciting team to watch.
Fuld believes that the Phillies can compete with the Braves and Mets and is looking forward to having the opportunity to do so.
Philadelphia won 87 games and finished in third place in the NL East, but they secured the final Wild Card spot and took down the St. Louis Cardinals, the Braves, and the San Diego Padres.
