The Baltimore Ravens have recently signed Odell Beckham Jr., ending the sweepstakes that have flooded the NFL offseason.

This signing has been met with mixed reviews across the league, and many analysts have wondered what this means for the Lamar Jackson situation.

In a recent article, Peter King articulated his thoughts on the matter, saying: “Odell Beckham’s a good signing for the Ravens, but I doubt it changes their draft plans one iota.”

The Ravens have needed a bonafide number-one receiver after Marquise Brown left the team.

Now, Beckham fills that role, a veteran presence within the locker room.

For as much as King initially liked this move, he did express trepidation towards the contract details.

“The one-year includes $15 million guaranteed, which is a little rich for my blood,” King said.

I have cited Beckham’s two ACL surgeries as a cause for concern, as well as his age of 31.

Whether this contract will truly pay off, remains to be seen.

Even though the Ravens signed Beckham, King, among other analysts, still believes that the Ravens will draft a wide receiver in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Ravens’ first-round pick is slated to be 22nd overall, pending an unforeseen trade.

They did draft Rashod Bateman in the first round of the 2021 draft but has dealt with a fair share of injuries.

Who will join the Ravens’ receiving room alongside Beckham as the team looks to improve upon their 2022 season?

More importantly, who will be throwing these new receivers the ball?
