The New York Mets are a team that appears to be finding its groove early on in the 2023 season.
They won 101 games last season and secured a Wild Card spot.
They are now 10-6 and are just two games behind the Atlanta Braves in the NL East.
On Sunday, they won their fourth-straight game and completed a three-game sweep over the Oakland Athletics.
However, it didn’t come easy.
The Mets were down 3-2 in the top of the ninth inning and were just two outs away from a loss.
But slugger Pete Alonso came through in the clutch, tying the game with a mammoth home run, his eighth of the season.
Alonso leads all of Major League Baseball in home runs.
On Twitter, MLB posted a highlight video of the home run.

New York took a 4-3 lead in the top of the 10th on a wild pitch.
They ended up holding on for a win.
But without Alonso’s big home run, none of that would have been possible.
The former National League Rookie of the Year is hitting .267 with 14 RBI and a 1.054 OPS in addition to his league-leading eight home runs.
The Mets slugger went deep 40 times in 2022 and drove in 131 runs while hitting .271 with an .870 OPS.
Along with Brandon Nimmo, who made a spectacular diving catch in the bottom of the ninth, Alonso helped guide the Mets to their 10th win of the regular season and allowed them to keep pace with the Braves, who own the best record in the NL.
