Patrick Beverley is negotiating with the Los Angeles Clippers the possibility of joining the team for the remainder of the season, according to the journalist from LA TimesAndrew Greiff.
The point guard was cut by the Orlando Magic last week after playing 45 games with the Los Angeles Lakers during the first half of the course. Beverley ended up in Florida from the Californian franchise as part of the transfer for Mo Bamba.
His defensive leadership, intensity and determination add value to a team contend like the Clippers. Beverley already defended the jersey of said team for three seasons between 2017 and 2021. Now he could return to the franchise with the aim of fighting for the ring. His former Lakers teammate Russell Westbrook has also recently been linked with the Clippers.
Beverley’s averages this season are 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 0.9 steals in 26.9 minutes per game.
