New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is the most sought-after commodity in free agency, and there is no doubt about it.
Several teams are reportedly after his services, but two organizations can and should be considered as favorites: the Yanks and the San Francisco Giants.
The Giants even hosted the star a few days ago in San Francisco and have vowed they won’t be outbid in the Judge’s sweepstakes.
They have one thing going on for them: Judge grew up in the Bay Area as a Giants fan.
I have admired Barry Bonds as he carried the franchise in the 2000s.
He’s enjoyed the three World Series championships in a span of five years, and he wasn’t shy about going public about it.
“Just a reminder Aaron Judge grew up a Giants fan and has a signed Buster Posey jersey in his home,” The Game Day MLB tweeted.

The Giants Surely Played The Fanhood Card
The Game Day MLB tweeted that while quoting a Judge post congratulating the Giants on their 2012 victory, the second of the three they earned in the early 2010s.
The Giants are surely selling the player the chance of putting on the uniform of his childhood’s favorite team, as they should.
While it won’t be the deciding factor, it can have an influence: just look at when Gerrit Cole signed for the New York Yankees three years ago.
Judge showed in 2022 he can be the best hitter in baseball if he wants.
He competed for the Triple Crown in the American League with a .311 average (second), 62 home runs, and 131 RBI (both first) and broke Roger Maris’ old AL record for homers in a season.
Will he leave the Yankees to go play for the Giants?
