OG Anunoby, new shareholder of the London Lions

The Toronto Raptors player, OG Anunoby, will become the new minority owner of the London Lions with the aim of boosting British basketball, the portal reported. Front Office Sports.

The purchase of Anunoby will become official in the coming days, and given the incipient growth of basketball in the United Kingdom, he will try to take advantage of his status as an NBA player to give him greater visibility worldwide. It should be remembered that the Lions recently made history by qualifying for the Eurocup playoffs.

“I just want to do my part as a role model for all the young people in London and across the UK,” Anunoby said.

Anunoby, 25 years old and a native of London, came to the NBA with the 23rd pick of the 2017 Draft, being selected by the Toronto Raptors. In six official campaigns he has accumulated figures of 11.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 368 official games.

Ahead of him remain two guaranteed campaigns plus a player option for the 2024-25 campaign valued at a total of almost 56 million dollars.
