After Devin Singletary signed with the Houston Texans, the Buffalo Bills are apparently in the market for another running back in order to add depth at that position.

They signed Damien Harris away from the New England Patriots, but more help is apparently needed in the backfield.

According to NFL insider Field Yates, they visited with Latavius Murray, a veteran running back.

Murray, 33, has been in the NFL for nine seasons and has suited up for six different teams, and he most recently played for the Denver Broncos last season.

He made the Pro Bowl during the 2015 season as a member of the then-Oakland Raiders, and that year he tallied 1,066 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

The Bills were considered by many to be the best all-around team in the NFL going into last season, but despite finishing with a 13-3 record in the regular season, they fell flat in the playoffs again, getting rolled 27-10 by the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional round.

Perhaps their one relative weakness is their rushing attack, as they finished just 15th in rushing touchdowns in 2022.

Although quarterback Josh Allen is one of the best dual-threat signal-callers in the game, Buffalo didn’t have any other big-time rushing threats on its roster.

Singletary ran for 819 yards and five touchdowns last season, but he averaged a relatively middle-of-the-pack 4.6 yards per carry.

In their playoff loss to the Bengals, the Bills were only able to muster 64 rushing yards on 19 attempts.

Making sure they can gain enough yardage on the ground outside of Allen will be one key toward winning their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
