Ever since Derek Carr was benched by the Las Vegas Raiders late in the 2022 season, there has been lots of speculation as to where he may be headed.
The Raiders officially released him just days ago, and he has reportedly met with the New York Jets, a team that reportedly has some serious interest in signing him.
Carr has also reportedly met with the New Orleans Saints, another team that could use a serious upgrade at the quarterback position.
According to Ian Rapoport, Carr will put his search for his next team into overdrive by traveling to Indianapolis for this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, where he will meet with several teams.

Coming into this season, some thought Carr was going to have something of a career year after the Raiders traded for superstar wide receiver Davante Adams.
Instead, the signal-caller’s stats took a nosedive.
He completed only 60.8 percent of his passes, threw for 3,522 yards and 24 touchdowns, and posted an anemic passer rating of 86.3.
His 14 interceptions also tied a career-high that he set in 2021.
Still, he is a talented QB, if not an elite one, that could thrive again in the right situation.
Rapoport reported that the main thing for the four-time Pro Bowler is fit, and luckily for him, there are a few teams that he could help elevate.
The Jets, who have Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson and a strong defense, seem to be one of those teams.
At age 31, Carr should still have at least a few more years of above-average production left in him.
