NFL Insider Gives Latest Update On Panthers, Bryce Young Visit

The Carolina Panthers traded up for the first overall pick.

The one reason they did that was to select their franchise quarterback.

It appears that there are two clear options for the Panthers.

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud.

It is anyone’s guess who the Panthers will end up taking, but the next few weeks should give them clarity.

Carolina will bring both quarterbacks in for visits, and those could ultimately decide who they select.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Panthers are expected to meet Young on Tuesday.

Young has been one of the most productive college quarterbacks we have seen in a while.

But, his size is holding him back from being the clear first selection.

Some teams believe that Young is too small to hold up for a full 17-game NFL season.

Also, the injuries he suffered during his final college season do not help his case.

But, Young is a former Heisman Trophy winner and should be one of the first two players off the board.

Carolina gave up a ton for the first overall pick, so all the pressure is on them to make the right choice.

If they miss on this pick it will set their franchise back years.

But, if they pick a future superstar, the Panthers will be in contention for many years to come.
