The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t exactly been the most successful NFL franchise lately.
And a lot of that has had to do with their shortcomings in the NFL Draft and how poorly they’ve managed their personnel.
As NFL insider Dov Kleiman has pointed out, their recent draft history has been quite questionable.
As a matter of fact, RB Josh Jacobs is the only first-round pick that’s still on the team since 2019, with OT Alex Leatherwood, WR Henry Ruggs III, CB Damon Arnette, DE Clelin Ferrell, and S Jonathan Abraham all gone.
Also, per ESPN, S Trevon Moehrig is the only defensive player taken in the first two rounds dating back to 2016 that’s still on the team, as DT PJ Hall, S Obi Melifonwu, CB Gareon Conley, DE Jihad Ward, S Karl Joseph, CB Trayvon Mullen, and the aforementioned Abraham, Ferrell, and Arnette are gone as well.

Needless to say, that has raised plenty of doubts about the Raiders in the upcoming festivities, even though it seems like they just can’t go wrong at seventh overall.
They recently denied a report that stated that they wouldn’t be interested in Georgia DT Jalen Carter, who was recently involved in a fatal DUI.
Of course, that report drew mixed reviews, with some fans choosing to ignore that and focusing solely on the football aspect, and others stating that they should want nothing to do with him anymore.
Whatever the case, GM Dave Ziegler will have a lot of work to do to make up for Mike Mayock’s past decisions.
