Will Hamlin ever see the NFL field again?
That is the question that many reporters and insiders have been trying to answer in the last 12 hours.
The answer remains to be seen, as Hamlin’s recovery is a long and ongoing process.
However, here is what we do know about Hamlin.
He is 6-feet tall, 200 pounds, and is just 24 years old.
He was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and spent five years on the University of Pittsburgh’s football team.
During his time in college, Hamlin racked up 275 total tackles, totaled 21 defended passes, and added in six interceptions.
While he wasn’t necessarily highly-regarded coming out of college, he played a huge role on the Bills this season, especially given the injury to standout Micah Hyde.
Before his injury, Hamlin had 91 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two passes defended, and six tackles for loss.
Many NFL fans outside of the Bills organization hadn’t heard of Hamlin before his injury, but he was a rising star on their roster, a key contributor to their playoff berth.
Whether or not Hamlin plays in the NFL again will not be determined for some time.
For now, he is alive and well, inspiring millions of fans across the globe.
