The Minnesota Vikings had a successful season in 2022, finishing the year with a 13-4 record.
Even though they had a great regular season, they ultimately fell to the New York Giants in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
This has been an unfortunate historic trend for the Vikings, as the NFL on CBS recently highlighted.

The Vikings have the third-highest regular season winning percentage in NFL history.
However, they have never won a Super Bowl, despite their four appearances in the big game.
Some fans have attributed this to a generational curse that’s been placed on the team, while others point to a combination of poor play and lackluster coaching.
Ahead of the 2023 season, the Vikings have been relatively quiet throughout free agency.
Kirk Cousins is allegedly on his way out after the 2023 campaign, with many wanting the Vikings to draft a quarterback this year.
The NFC North could be the Vikings’ for the taking next season, assuming that Aaron Rodgers truly does leave the Green Bay Packers.
What else can the Vikings do to improve their standing in the postseason?
Justin Jefferson has been a bright spot for their organization, but he is still on his rookie contract.
With Jefferson as the star of the team, the Vikings have an organizational cornerstone to move forward with.
However, Jefferson isn’t the whole team.
Their defense was uncharacteristically low-performing in 2022 and will look to add several more pieces in order to build their roster.
Will 2023 be the year for the Vikings to break through to a Super Bowl victory?
