The Kansas City Chiefs have a luxury that most other teams envy.
That is having a franchise quarterback in place for as long as he wants to play football.
Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL and one that has rarely been seen in the league.
He is an once-in-a-generation player and will remain a Chief as long as he chooses.
But, if for some reason the Chiefs wanted to trade Mahomes, they could get a historic package in return.
Colin Cowherd believes that Mahomes could be traded for at least five first-round picks.
“If Patrick Mahomes was available on the market today — 5 first round picks minimum… Green Bay and the Jets are in a bit of a stalemate.”

While that may seem like a lot, if you have Mahomes on your team, you are an immediate Super Bowl contender.
He is one of few quarterbacks who can overcome many flaws on a team.
Some fans seem to think that not even five first-round picks would be enough.
5? KC wouldn’t take 10 for Mahomes.

It is anyone’s guess what the Chiefs would ask for in return for Mahomes.
They could even go as far as multiple first-round picks and a few All-Pro caliber players.
I wouldn’t even say that. He just straight up wouldn’t be for sale lol same as joe burrow or josh allen. If you have top end QB why are you getting rid of him in his prime

There are only a handful of quarterbacks in the NFL who would not be traded under any circumstance and Mahomes is one.
The crazy trade package Mahomes would command makes some people wonder what Aaron Rodgers would go for.
He is much older than Mahomes, and he has contemplated retirement over the past few seasons.
But, the Jets can’t head into next season without him as their QB.
The amount of money Rodgers will make the Jets organization just by being there is worth the #1 pick. Super Bowl is icing.

In the NFL, age is everything.
If you have an elite young player, they are the best asset in the league.
Rodgers was just that back in 2010, but now he is entering the final few seasons of his career.
The Jets do not want to trade a large package for a player that is soon to retire.
It will be interesting to see what the compensation is between the Jets and Packers if a trade does get done.
