The Philadelphia Eagles finished the 2022 NFL regular season having one of their most successful years in franchise history.

Although much of their success has been attributed to their outstanding defense, a big contributor to the team has been Jalen Hurts, who has taken a step forward in his production this season.

In a recent interview, head coach Nick Sirianni compared Hurts to Michael Jordan, in terms of the overall value that he brings to the Eagles.

Hurts is one of the league’s MVP finalists, and has been recognized as one of the league’s top players.

Despite his excellence, there are still doubters of Hurts.

When he entered the league, Hurts was touted as another Lamar Jackson, citing that his legs were much more powerful than his arm.

Hurts has dispelled any of these rumors, throwing for 3,701 yards, 22 touchdown passes, and just six interceptions.

He did this in just 15 games, as he missed two games due to his shoulder injury.

Simply put, without Hurts, the Eagles would not be in the NFC Championship.

Two of their three losses on the season came in the games that Hurts did not play.

This team needs Hurts’ leadership and will need to depend on him this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship.

A victory would likely silence his doubters, as the Eagles would appear in their second Super Bowl in the last ten years.

This is a franchise and city that have been begging for a star at the quarterback position, and they have surely found it with Hurts.
