The Cincinnati Bengals fell just short of the Super Bowl in 2022, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship.
Ahead of the 2023 season, the Bengals have been active in their search to add new players to their roster.
They have recently signed Orlando Brown Jr., who is widely regarded as one of the league’s best left tackles.
Brown recently had an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, discussing a myriad of topics.
One of those topics was Baker Mayfield, and Brown shared a personal story about him.
Brown and Mayfield were teammates at the University of Oklahoma, spending three years together.
During his time in Oklahoma, Brown recanted a time that his car was taken after he hadn’t been paying on it.
To get his car back, Brown enlisted the help of Mayfield, who was extremely well-known around the university.
Said Brown, “His name rings bells in that state.”
When he brought Mayfield with him, Brown had little difficulty getting his car back, which he attributes to Mayfield’s popularity.
Now, Brown was signed to a four-year contract with the Bengals and should be able to buy whatever car he chooses.
Brown joins the Bengals on their search to return to the Super Bowl for the second time in the last three seasons.
Joe Burrow has reinvigorated the city of Cincinnati, bringing hope to the city as their organization continues to build upon its successes.
