The 2023 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, with all 32 teams in the league preparing for the start of the two-day event next month on April 27.

As usual, in the final weeks leading up to the draft, a lot can change with players moving up and down draft boards for teams, and that’s exactly what’s happening for Jalen Carter out of the University of Georgia.

According to NFL Insider Dov Kleiman, the defensive tackle is officially off the draft board for the Las Vegas Raiders, who own the seventh overall pick, and multiple unnamed teams are also not interested in drafting him.

At one point in time, Carter was considered to be one of the top prospects in the draft, with some talk of him being drafted at some point in the first five picks.

After an off-the-field incident, Carter’s draft stock has plummeted and is getting worse in the weeks leading up to draft day, with many seemingly uninterested in bringing in a troubled rookie.

Every year at least one top prospect has this happen due to an off-the-field issue or teams not being impressed with what they see in their Pro Day or in interviews.

Although Carter is falling down draft boards for teams across the league right now, it’s doubtful that every team will pass on bringing him in together.

Carter may have his fair share of problems, but some team will take a chance on him.

The real question is how far he will fail and which team will take a chance on the former Georgia Bulldog.
