Team USA is full of some of the most talented players in all of baseball.
On Wednesday night, Mike Trout led the way for the defending champions as he picked up three hits and ultimately drove in all three Team USA runs.
For Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts, this presents an opportunity to play alongside one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.
After the game, Betts talked about Team USA’s huge win and praised Trout for his abilities and the numbers he put up during the first round, while also discussing his excitement to play alongside the three-time American League MVP.

Betts and Trout are two of Los Angeles’ finest.
Trout has spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Angels and typically plays just 45 minutes away from Betts.
Betts says that the two of them don’t really get much time to interact with one another.
However, he certainly is soaking up every moment he gets to spend with Trout on Team USA and says that it’s been a lot of fun to share a clubhouse, a dugout, and a field with the slugger.
He went on to say that he appreciates everything that Trout has done for the game of baseball in just the first 12 years of his career.
Betts also stressed that despite their big win on Wednesday, this was not the final step for the Americans and that the ultimate goal is to get to Miami and win another WBC title.
Team USA will match up with Venezuela on Saturday night in the quarterfinals.
