The World Baseball Classic will be full of stacked teams and star players and will get underway on March 8, less than a month from today.
But perhaps no team is quite as stacked as the Dominican National Team.
The lineup features stars such as Jose Ramirez, Juan Soto, Manny Machado, Rafael Devers, Jeremy Pena, Julio Rodriguez, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
The infield in particular is quite loaded, with Guerrero and Ramirez on the right side and Pena and Machado on the left side.
It’s so stacked in fact that Devers is expected to be the designated hitter.
MLB analyst Jon Morosi commented on the Dominican Republic’s infield and even went as far as to say it might be one of the best infields in the history of baseball.
“One of the very best infields ever assembled anywhere in the history of baseball.”

It’s hard to argue with that assessment.
As previously mentioned, the infield is so stacked that Devers is projected to serve in the DH role.
Ramirez is also sliding over from third base to second base.
Pena, who is the reigning ALCS and World Series MVP, cannot be overlooked either.
He also earned a Gold Glove Award this past season.
But beyond the infield, the lineup is truly loaded and is going to be every pitcher’s worst nightmare.
When the weaker spots in the order consist of two former All-Stars in Teoscar Hernandez and Gary Sanchez, it’s hard to imagine any pitcher wanting to face this lineup.
This will be a fun team to watch once the Classic gets underway in March.
The excitement is building and the WBC will be back soon.
