Starting pitching is a key part of any contending ballclub.
The strength of the rotation is usually the foundation for teams in October and is something that the best teams lean on when they need to win some big games.
Several MLB teams have great starting staffs, while others may need to do some more with their rotations come the trade deadline.
But MLB.com released a list of the top five starting rotations in all of baseball.
MLB Network posted a graphic on Twitter that features MLB.com’s list of the five teams with the best starting pitching entering the 2023 season.

The New York Mets ranked at the top.
Despite losing Jacob deGrom, the team managed to move on very quickly, signing veterans Justin Verlander and Jose Quintana, as well as Kodai Senga.
Quintana will be out for a while as he nurses a rib injury, but New York’s rotation is quite strong with Max Scherzer at the top and should be a key factor for the team this year.
The Milwaukee Brewers came in second on the list.
They have former Cy Young Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff, and Freddy Peralta.
The Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers round out the top five, respectively.
Atlanta has a deadly one-two punch of Spencer Strider and Max Fried, but also have Charlie Morton and Kyle Wright.
The Yankees signed Carlos Rodon and added him to a rotation that already featured Nestor Cortes and Gerrit Cole.
The Rangers’ biggest weakness last season was their rotation, but they addressed the holes by acquiring Jake Odorizzi and signing deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi, and Andrew Heaney, as well as retaining lefty Martin Perez.
