Vladimir Guerrero was one of a kind.
He could hit almost anything, even if a pitcher was attempting to intentionally walk him.
It could have even been a pitch in the dirt, and Guerrero would have hit it.
He also was quite the stalwart on defense and could throw runners out from long distances, even from right field to home plate.
Today just so happens to be the legendary slugger and Hall-of-Famer’s 48th birthday.
On Twitter, MLB wished the Hall-of-Famer a very happy birthday, while also including a highlight reel of some of his most memorable and impressive moments during his career.

Guerrero was a nine-time All-Star, an MVP, a Home Run Derby champion, and an eight-time Silver Slugger.
He’s played 16 seasons in Major League Baseball, splitting time between the Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Angels, Texas Rangers, and Baltimore Orioles.
During his historic career, Guerrero posted a WAR of 59.5 and picked up a total of 2,590 hits.
He also had a lifetime .318 batting average and hit a grand total of 449 home runs, while posting an OPS of .931 and an OPS+ of 140.
But Guerrero could simply do it all.
No matter where a pitcher threw the ball, he could hit it out of the park.
No matter how far away he was from a runner attempting to score, he could still throw them out.
There was simply nothing that Guerrero couldn’t do.
And his abilities have been passed on to his son Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who is becoming quite a star in his own right.
