The Arizona Diamondbacks are a team that could potentially be on the rise in 2023.
Despite losing 88 games last season and falling short of the postseason for the fifth consecutive year, the team has plenty of young players who are ready to make an impact and set the tone for the future.
Corbin Carroll, Jake McCarthy, and Josh Rojas are just a few of the club’s young stars who could help lead the team back to contention this year.
Analysts Lauren Gardner, Alex Avila, and Cameron Maybin discussed the Diamondbacks and what could be the key to them emerging as contenders.

Avila started off by talking about the rotation.
Zac Gallen is at the top of the rotation, followed by Madison Bumgarner, Zach Davies, and Merrill Kelly.
Avila, who had a chance to catch Gallen in the early days of the right-hander’s career, talked about his high-octane fastball and the stuff he possesses that truly makes him one of the game’s top pitchers.
Avila finished by saying that if things come together in their rotation and the young outfielders produce, this could be a team that surprises some people this season.
Maybin talked about Bumgarner and what he could bring to the table.
The former outfielder believes that despite his age and his recent struggles, Bumgarner still has it in him to be one of the top pitchers in all of baseball and that he will be motivated to put those struggles in the past.
Arizona could be a fun team to watch in 2023 as they seek to make improvements after a tough 2022 season.
